VPD seeks witnesses after downtown Vancouver incidents
Police are asking anyone who encountered a man linked to reports near Robson and Howe to contact the VPD tip line.

Vancouver police are seeking witnesses and possible victims after a series of reported incidents in the downtown area this week.
On Tuesday afternoon, a witness told officers at Robson and Howe that a man had been harassing a child on a bus. Officers could not locate the child, but found a man matching the description and saw him enter and leave several businesses and approach a number of women.
Police said there was not enough evidence at the time to recommend criminal charges to Crown counsel. The man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital.
The VPD describes him as a South Asian man, about 45 to 50, five feet seven inches tall, slim, with black hair, wearing a white buttoned dress shirt and blue jeans. Sgt. Adam Donaldson asked anyone who had an encounter with him to call the VPD tip line at 604-717-0600.
