Man found dead after RV fire in Surrey
Firefighters found a deceased man inside a travel trailer engulfed in flames near 94 Avenue and 184 Street. Police are investigating the cause and whether the death was suspicious.
Authorities say a man was found dead after an RV fire in Surrey early Sunday morning. Surrey Fire Services assistant chief Mike McNamara said crews were called at about 7 a.m. to a travel trailer near 94 Avenue and 184 Street.
The RV was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, McNamara said. Firefighters found the deceased man after entering the trailer, which was parked behind a house. The house sustained minimal heat damage.
Police say the cause of the fire is unknown. The Surrey Police Service (SPS) Arson Investigation Support Team is working with the coroner to determine whether the death was suspicious. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
