CARSTAR Cloverdale will hold an open house and charity car wash

CARSTAR Collision and Glass in Cloverdale will hold an open house and charity car wash on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Communications co-ordinator Keely Pampell said guests can take part in a charity car wash involving a local youth team, hear music and entertainment from Rock 101, visit a food truck and attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event is intended to thank CARSTAR Cloverdale’s first customers and welcome the community.

The business opened several months ago on 56A Avenue and is located at 17511 56A Avenue. Pampell said proceeds from the car wash will support Cystic Fibrosis Canada and Surrey United Soccer Club, which plays at Cloverdale Athletic Park.

CARSTAR describes itself as North America’s largest network of independently owned and operated collision-repair facilities, with more than 800 locations across more than 40 states and 10 Canadian provinces. The network says it has raised more than $6 million for cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy across North America. More information is available at carstar.ca.
