Surrey crash sends one person to hospital with critical injuries
A woman driving a Honda Civic was taken to hospital with critical injuries after colliding with a loaded semi-truck trailer Friday evening in Surrey.

A woman was taken to hospital with what police described as critical injuries after a loaded semi-truck trailer and a Honda Civic collided Friday evening, Sept. 18, in Surrey.
Emergency crews responded at about 8 p.m. to the intersection of 176 Street and 32 Ave. The Honda driver was hospitalized, while the semi-truck driver was uninjured, Surrey Police said in a Saturday news release.
Police said the Honda was significantly damaged and the semi-truck sustained only minor front-end damage. The Surrey Police collision investigation unit is investigating and does not currently believe alcohol was a contributing factor. The intersection, closed for several hours during the investigation, has reopened.
Witnesses or anyone with information, including dashcam footage, are asked to call Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-100398 (SP).
