Cultus Lake Waterpark prepares for phased reopening after June injuries
Cultus Lake Waterpark says it is conducting facility-wide safety reviews and corrections before a phased reopening. No reopening date has been announced after a June electrical-injury incident.

Cultus Lake Waterpark says it is moving closer to a phased reopening, more than a month after an incident that sent 12 children to hospital with electrical burn injuries.
The park said Technical Safety BC released the affected area back to it about two weeks after the June 15 incident. In a July 23 update, the park said the regulator had identified several suspected contributing variables through non-compliance certificates and a comprehensive facility review, though the full investigation has not been released.
Technical Safety BC previously said preliminary findings identified electrical non-compliances at the site. The park is reviewing electrical components throughout the facility, as well as natural-gas and chemical systems, equipment and operating procedures.
Any area that reopens will require approvals from the relevant authorities, including Technical Safety BC, WorkSafeBC and Fraser Health. The park said hot tubs will remain closed temporarily as it prioritizes returning waterslide attractions to service. No reopening date has been announced.
