Wubs Family Foundation has donated $1 million to Foundry South Surrey-White Rock, helping bring health, wellness and social supports closer to home for local youth and their families. The “transformational” gift supports Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation’s $2 million commitment to the new centre. The $6.45 million project is being made possible with support from Sources Community Resources Society (SOURCES), provincial partners and community donors, according to a release from PAHCHF.

Established in 2023, Wubs Family Foundation focuses on addressing critical community needs, with an emphasis on health and wellness, mental health and youth. In 2025, it partnered with Surrey Schools to launch Brighter Future, a program that supports students in under-resourced schools with nutritious meals, essential supplies, technology and enriching opportunities.

“The Wubs Family Foundation is proud to support Foundry South Surrey-White Rock and help create a place where youth and their families can access the mental health, wellness and social supports they need, closer to home,” said Carolyn Nichols, the foundation’s board chair, in the release. “Investing in young people is an investment in the future of our community.”

Foundry South Surrey-White Rock will be located at 15451 Russell Avenue in White Rock and serve youth aged 12 to 24 and their families. The release says the centre will offer a welcoming, stigma-free environment where young people can access mental health and substance use services, physical and sexual health care, peer support and social services under one roof.

The project is in pre-construction, with design and permitting underway. Construction is expected to begin toward the end of 2026, subject to completion of those processes, and the centre is expected to open in late 2027.

“A gift of this magnitude is an incredible demonstration of leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of young people in our community,” said Stephanie Beck, PAHCHF’s CEO. “The Wubs Family Foundation is helping turn the vision for Foundry South Surrey-White Rock into a reality. We are deeply grateful for their trust in this project and for choosing to make such a meaningful investment in the future of local youth and families.”
