Early-morning fire destroys Langley barn
A large barn in Langley was destroyed in an early-morning fire Wednesday. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

A large barn was destroyed by fire early Wednesday in Langley, with no injuries reported.
Crews were called at about 1 a.m. to the 6900 block of 232 Street and found a roughly 150-by-30-foot shop fully involved, deputy fire chief Cory Parker said.
The first crew requested a second alarm because of the heavy flames. Six units and about 26 personnel responded, using a defensive attack and protecting nearby buildings. With no hydrants nearby, crews shuttled water to the scene by tanker.
Firefighters remained until 8 a.m. and used an excavator to uncover hot spots. The cause is under investigation.
