White Rock Rotary Charity Book Sale moves to Elgin Park Secondary

The Rotary Club of White Rock’s Charity Book Sale will run from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 at Elgin Park Secondary School, 13484 24 Ave., rather than its usual venue.

The sale is moving temporarily from the Centre for Active Living in Centennial Park while the Peace Arch Curling Club installs a new floor.

Thousands of books, sorted by categories including fiction, history, children’s books, cookbooks, biographies and mysteries, will be available. Donations of books will also be accepted during the five-day sale.

Proceeds support Rotary charitable projects in White Rock, South Surrey and beyond. The club’s April sale drew about 4,500 customers, offered more than 32,000 books and raised roughly $77,000 for community initiatives. More information is available at whiterockrotary.org.
