South Surrey golfers qualify for PGA Scramble National Final
A Morgan Creek Golf Course foursome won the British Columbia Regional Final and will compete at Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia from Oct. 3 to 7.

Four golfers based at South Surrey’s Morgan Creek Golf Course have qualified for the PGA Scramble National Final after winning the British Columbia Regional Final at Tobiano Golf Course in Kamloops. Surrey’s Ryan O’Shea and Jordan Kissock, Langley’s Dustin Schroer and Chilliwack golfer Drew St. Cyr were paired with Todd Tweedy, a PGA of Canada professional from Nk’Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course.
The team will play the national final at Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia from Oct. 3 to 7. O’Shea said the friends have golfed together for years and had tried to qualify previously, succeeding this year.
He said roughly 13,000 golfers in 3,000 groups across Canada compete for places in the national final, with only 20 teams qualifying. Two teams advanced from the regional event. O’Shea credited Tweedy as a strong golfer who fit easily into the group, adding that the team learned it had won only during dinner and the announcements.
The group is looking forward to playing Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links, which O’Shea described as Canada’s top two courses; he said Cabot Cliffs is ranked 14th in the world. He said the five days will offer both competitive golf and a chance to meet the other 20 qualifying groups from across Canada.
O’Shea praised the organization, course and setting at Tobiano, and said the foursome looks forward to sharing the Cabot experience with Tweedy. He emphasized that scramble golf is a team game and thanked the PGA of Canada, BMW, sponsors and partners supporting the event. The 2026 PGA Scramble Presented by BMW included more than 190 local qualifying events across Canada. More information is available at PGAScramble.com.
