One arrested after weapons, drugs seized at Kelowna residence: RCMP
Kelowna RCMP say a July 18 search of a seniors’ housing unit led to an arrest on a B.C.-wide warrant and the seizure of weapons and drugs.

Kelowna RCMP say they arrested a person wanted on an outstanding B.C.-wide warrant after executing a search warrant at a residence in a seniors’ housing complex July 18.
Police said the Jones Street unit, in the city’s north end, had been investigated after community members raised public-safety concerns in early July. Investigators said they observed heavy foot traffic at the residence and that its occupants were not complying with City of Kelowna property standards.
Officers seized a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, other weapons and quantities of controlled substances, police said. The investigation is continuing.
The city is also working to address deficiencies and bylaw violations at the property, according to RCMP.
