Mexican circus returns to Richmond Thursday
Circus Osorio Mexico will perform at Lansdowne Centre from Oct. 7 to 12, with Latino music, Mexican performers, circus acts and motorcycle stunts. Tickets remain available, including family packs and VIP seating.

Circus Osorio Mexico will be at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond from Thursday, Oct. 7, to Monday, Oct. 12. The show features jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, magicians, illusionists, K-pop Warriors and a motorcycle act in which riders travel at more than 70 km/h. It also incorporates Latino heritage through lively music and Mexican performers. Co-owner Francisco Osorio described the show as being “like hot sauce, like spicy.”
The circus is co-owned by brothers Francisco, Leoncio Enrique and Roberto Carlos Osorio. The circus website says the family business began in Mexico in 1927 with the brothers’ great-grandfather, Osorio, and his family. Years later, the family immigrated to the U.S., where the three brothers pursued careers in the circus business and eventually fulfilled their dream of opening their own circus. Francisco said the circus is “an international language” and “a beautiful thing” that brings families together to watch live entertainment. “Nothing beats live entertainment, especially when it’s under a big top,” he said.
Tickets are still available in person and online at https://tickets-ca.circusosorio.com/categories/richmond. Tickets cost $10 for children under 10 and $30 for people aged 11 and older, including adults. Family packs and VIP seating are also available, and some prices will be discounted on opening night. Sales at the event are cash only, but ATMs will be on site.
