Vancouver physical therapist barred from treating minors during investigation
A B.C. regulator has temporarily prohibited Vancouver physical therapist Colin Miller from treating patients under 19 while it investigates a complaint.

A Vancouver physical therapist has been temporarily barred from treating patients under 19 while the College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C. investigates a complaint. The college issued a summary protection order against Colin Miller last week.
The complaint, received in February, alleges a failure to ensure ongoing informed consent for treatment of a minor patient and concerns involving exposure of sensitive areas and removal of clothing for treatment. The allegations have not been proven.
The college’s investigation committee said it had reasonable grounds to believe Miller’s continued practice without conditions could present a significant risk of harm to patients. Summary protection orders are intended to protect the public during an ongoing investigation and remain in effect until cancelled or the complaint is resolved.
The order also requires Miller to obtain signed consent before inserting needles into any patient’s skin and to notify patients of draping options before adjusting or removing clothing. He must submit weekly calendar and patient information, and is subject to random on-site audits.
The college directory lists Miller as a licensed physical therapist at Sport + Spinal Physical Therapy. His current licence is valid through March 31, 2027.
