Township of Langley highlights fall activities, safety reminders and public engagement
The Township of Langley is promoting fall recreation, cultural events and public engagement while reminding residents to prepare for rain and check for seasonal closures.

Autumn has arrived in the Township of Langley, which is encouraging residents to stay active, safe and entertained through seasonal recreation, cultural events and community opportunities.
Halloween-themed events will be held at recreation, arts and culture facilities from October 23 to 31. Residents can also attend public swims, take group fitness classes such as yoga and indoor cycling, or join the 21 Day Fall Fitness Challenge, which runs until October 31. Participants who complete 21 days of physical activity will receive a complimentary drop-in pass. Fall program registration remains open until spaces fill.
The Township also encourages residents to explore local parks, trails, amenities and cycling routes, attend games at the Langley Events Centre, and share photos from Township parks and trails using @LangleyTownship on social media. Guided tours of salishan Place by the River’s newest exhibit, Langley: Many Voices, Shared Place, are scheduled for September 25, 28 and October 2 during BC Culture Days.
Residents can take part in surveys, workshops and open houses through the Township’s EngageTOL webpage. As fall rain begins, the Township advises households to prepare for autumn rainfall, watch its website for updates on the fall burning season, safely dispose of seasonal items and drain pools and hot tubs. Before travelling, residents should check for current closures and impacts, as seasonal maintenance and construction may affect roads, trails and parks, and ensure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are working properly.
