Police seek two suspects after targeted shooting in South Surrey
A person believed to have been the intended target was found uninjured after shots were fired outside a South Surrey residential complex. Two men in dark clothing fled on foot, and a police search did not find them.

Police are looking for two men in dark clothing who fled on foot after a “targeted” shooting outside a residential complex in South Surrey.
Surrey Police were called after a report of shots fired outside the complex in the 100-block of 175A Street, not far from the Pacific Highway border crossing, at about 6:51 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8. A search involving the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service did not find the suspects, according to a Surrey Police Service news release.
A person believed to have been the intended target was found at the scene uninjured. There have been no reported injuries, and police say it is not known whether any property was damaged.
SPS investigators and forensic officers were expected to remain at the scene through the night and potentially into Friday, speaking with people and canvassing for witnesses while looking for physical and digital evidence.
“There is no indication at this early stage that the incident is extortion related, but it is believed that this was a targeted incident,” the release said.
Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to call the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 26-108223 (SP), or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
