Richmond RCMP seek help identifying bank robbery suspect

Richmond RCMP are asking the public to help identify a woman suspected in a robbery at a financial institution in the city.

Police say they received the report June 17 from a bank in the 5900 block of No. 3 Road. The suspect allegedly handed a teller a note demanding money and making threats, then took a small amount of cash and left by public transit.

Investigators have released images of the suspect. Const. Scott Lee of Richmond RCMP’s General Investigative Services said threats toward employees are taken seriously and asked anyone who recognizes the woman or knows her identity to come forward.

Anyone with information can call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file 2026-19008.
