White Rock and South Surrey Culture Crawl returns Oct. 3 and 4
The free, self-guided weekend event will connect visitors with local artists, galleries, cultural spaces, music, workshops and heritage sites across South Surrey and White Rock.

The White Rock and South Surrey Culture Crawl returns Oct. 3 and 4, offering a two-day, self-guided opportunity to explore local artists, studios, galleries, cultural spaces and community organizations throughout South Surrey and White Rock. Most activities are free, and visitors can drop in briefly or spend the full weekend taking part.
New this year, four South Surrey hubs will offer starting points for the crawl: South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre, Crescent Park, Crescent Beach Community Gallery and Historic Stewart Farm. Each will host free live music by local Surrey artists from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors can meet artists in local studios, view their work, explore West Coast photography, watch pottery and glass demonstrations, and browse handmade work by local makers. Local authors will be available at Black Bond Books, while the Crafty Affaire Market will feature artists and creative businesses.
Crescent Beach offers several nearby stops, including the Youth Arts Hub, the Off the Wall exhibition at Crescent Beach Community Gallery, and area studios and exhibitions. At Historic Stewart Farm, visitors can tour the farmhouse and see the travelling Ahead of Her Time exhibition. Totest Aleng will host the Native Art Renaissance Showcase, and the Arts Council of Surrey will hold its Artist Garage Sale.
There is no fixed route. A free shuttle will stop at key Culture Crawl locations in South Surrey and White Rock, and no tickets are required. Visitors can consult the Culture Crawl map for locations, activities, wheelchair access, family-friendly stops, refreshments and restrooms: https://www.whiterockcity.ca/933/White-Rock-South-Surrey-Culture-Crawl
