Cyclist taken to hospital after South Surrey collision

A cyclist was taken to hospital after colliding with a vehicle in South Surrey on Saturday afternoon, Surrey Police Service says.

Officers were called to the intersection of 154 Street and 24 Avenue at about 2 p.m. The driver remained at the scene.

Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said the cyclist was conscious while receiving treatment when he was last updated, but the extent of the injuries was not known. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
