Richmond resident wins $100,000 Lotto Max prize

Richmond resident Karim T. has won a $100,000 Maxplus prize from the Aug. 4 Lotto Max draw.

Karim said he was relaxing at home when he checked the ticket and initially thought he had won $10,000. After using the BCLC Lotto! app, he asked a friend to verify it at a retailer and learned the prize was $100,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at the lottery kiosk at Richmond Centre. Karim said he shared the news with his sisters and plans to celebrate with his partner, who lives abroad, when they are together.
