Canada Strong Pass expires Sept. 7
The Canada Strong Pass, offering free or discounted access to participating Parks Canada sites, museums, VIA Rail and more, is scheduled to end Sept. 7.

The Canada Strong Pass is set to expire Sept. 7, ending a summer program that offers Canadians and international visitors free or discounted access at participating attractions and transportation services.
The pass provides free entry during regular hours at participating Parks Canada locations and 25 per cent off Parks Canada camping and overnight accommodations. Guided tours, hikes and programs, permits, parking, fishing licences and firewood are not included.
Participating museums and galleries offer free admission to visitors 17 and younger, while those aged 18 to 24 receive 50 per cent off. On eligible VIA Rail routes, children and youth 17 and younger can travel free with an accompanying adult using code CANADAFAM; travellers aged 18 to 24 can receive 25 per cent off with code CANADA1824.
B.C. locations identified in the program include Yoho, Glacier, Kootenay and Mount Revelstoke national parks, Victoria’s Royal BC Museum, Radium Hot Springs and several national historic sites. The pass applies to Parks Canada-operated locations, not provincial parks.
Parks Canada says accommodations, reservations, guided tours, parking and permits are not covered by free admission. Beginning Sept. 8, visitors to applicable sites will generally need a daily park pass or annual Discovery Pass.
