Sunshine and seasonable warmth forecast for Metro Vancouver long weekend
Environment Canada says Metro Vancouver’s cooler, showery weather is expected to give way to sunshine and near-seasonal temperatures through the August long weekend.

Metro Vancouver’s run of showery, cooler weather is expected to end as the weather system moves east, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang. Tuesday was expected to reach 21 C, close to seasonal levels, after morning showers.
Fog is possible Wednesday, and humid conditions could make daytime temperatures feel closer to 26 C. Lang said the next storm system is expected to track north of the Lower Mainland, bringing a clearer stretch into the August long weekend.
Temperatures are not expected to be exceptionally hot, although they may rise slightly over the weekend. Environment Canada’s longer-range outlook points to warmer-than-average conditions in southern B.C. during August and possibly drier-than-average weather, while noting precipitation forecasts are less certain.
