Richmond indoor go-kart track closes after rent arrears notice
TBC Indoor Racing says it has permanently closed. A landlord notice posted at the Richmond business says it owed more than $68,000 in rent plus interest.

TBC Indoor Racing in east Richmond has permanently closed after its landlord issued a termination notice over unpaid rent.
The business, at 2100 Viceroy Pl., said on its website that it stopped operating July 21 because of circumstances beyond its control. A notice posted on the door says the company owed $68,140.72 in rent, plus interest, and that the landlord was entitled to retake the premises and terminate the lease.
A separate notice said TBC had until noon July 31 to remove its goods and chattels, after which storage or removal charges could apply. The notice also stated the business could not access the building until the arrears were paid.
TBC had operated in Richmond since 2000 and was among the last gas-powered indoor go-kart venues in the Lower Mainland. Richmond News said it sought comment from the company.
