Delta Community Animal Expo set for Aug. 9 at Ladner Memorial Park

The Delta Community Animal Shelter, with FortisBC, will host the 2026 Delta Community Animal Expo at Ladner Memorial Park on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents may bring leashed, friendly dogs to the annual event. It will include local vendors and pet organizations, food trucks, animal-adoption information and games such as the Poop Through the Hoop Contest and Rubber Ducky Relay.

Delta Police will take part in dog agility, training and scent-tracking demonstrations. The event is also intended to raise awareness and money for the Tollie Fund, which supports veterinary care, behaviour rehabilitation and other services for shelter animals.

Volunteers are being sought through the city’s Volunteer Portal. More information is available at delta.ca/animalexpo.
