Canada-wide ice cream recall issued over possible gravel-like pieces
So Delicious Dairy Free has recalled a 500 mL non-dairy frozen dessert after a potential issue with its cashew inclusions raised concerns about foreign material.

Health Canada has issued a Canada-wide recall of So Delicious Dairy Free’s 500 mL Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert. The company said it voluntarily recalled the product after identifying a potential issue with an ingredient, with possible foreign material in the cashew inclusions, including plastic-like and gravel-like pieces.
According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, affected products carry best-before dates of Sept. 8, 2027; Oct. 15, 2027; Oct. 16, 2027; Feb. 3, 2028; Feb. 25, 2028; March 30, 2028; and March 31, 2028. Consumers are advised not to use, sell, serve or distribute the product.
It is the second recall this year for the same Salted Caramel Cluster flavour for the same reason; Health Canada issued a recall in January. At publication, the company said no other flavours or products were affected and that it had identified and corrected the issue, with plans to return the product to market safely soon.
