Langley Regional Airport featured in Business View Magazine
Business View Magazine examines Langley Regional Airport’s aviation ecosystem, future planning and investments in emerging technologies.

Langley Regional Airport (YNJ) is featured in the latest edition of Business View Magazine in an article titled “An Innovative Aviation Hub with a Global Outlook: Charting the Future of Aviation from the Heart of British Columbia.”
The feature describes YNJ as one of Canada’s dynamic aviation ecosystems. It is home to about 55 aviation-related businesses and nearly 350 based aircraft, along with multiple flight schools, helicopter operators, aviation maintenance organizations, the RCMP Air Division base, a cadet squadron and an active aviation community.
The article outlines how the airport is preparing for the future through strategic investments in infrastructure, economic development and emerging technologies. Highlights include a 20-year strategic vision developed through community and stakeholder engagement, planning and development for Advanced Air Mobility and electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, and a dedicated 14-acre development area for emerging aviation technologies.
It also notes provincial funding support for Phase One airfield electrical and lighting modernization upgrades, as well as continuing investment in safety, operational efficiency and sustainability. Airport Manager Patrick Sihota said YNJ is positioning itself to support the next generation of aviation and transportation solutions while remaining committed to the businesses, flight schools, tenants and aviation professionals that helped build the airport’s reputation.
