An 18-year-old man wanted in connection with a December 2025 shooting in Burnaby has turned himself in, according to Burnaby RCMP. Police say Ronin Tajali remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Mounties were called Dec. 19, 2025, to Phillips Avenue and Woodbrook Place after a report of a shooting. Officers found a young man with gunshot wounds and took him to hospital. Police said at the time they believed the shooting was targeted.
Following an investigation, police identified Tajali as the suspect. On Dec. 25, 2025, the B.C. Prosecution Service approved charges of discharge of a firearm with intent, aggravated assault, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
RCMP announced a warrant two days later. The charges have not been proven in court.
