Aritzia warehouse sale opens with overnight lineups at Canada Place

Aritzia’s annual warehouse sale opened Tuesday at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver, drawing a long lineup before sunrise.

Shoppers were seeking discounts of up to 90 per cent on clothing, and some arrived the previous day to secure a place in line. Atria said her group took shifts, with two friends waiting from 2:30 p.m. Monday until 10 p.m. before she and another friend took over. She was hoping to find hoodies and a puffer vest.

Another shopper, Teju, said she began waiting at 4 p.m. Monday because she expected a large crowd.

The sale is scheduled to continue through Monday at Canada Place.
