Surrey man charged in child exploitation material investigation
A 37-year-old Surrey man faces two Criminal Code charges alleging possession and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, Surrey Police Service says.

A Surrey man has been charged following an investigation into allegations involving child sexual abuse and exploitation material, Surrey Police Service says.
Police say its Internet Child Exploitation unit began investigating reports in May 2025 that a suspect possessed and accessed the material online. Officers with the unit and the Special Investigative Section executed a search warrant at a Surrey residence in August 2025, where evidence was seized.
Investigators located more than 14,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse and exploitation material during the investigation, police said.
The BC Prosecution Service approved two Criminal Code charges against Wade Bruce Craig, 37, on Aug. 4, 2026: possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Craig was arrested Aug. 6 and released on conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 27.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
