Petro-Canada gives Wawa’s giant goose a caregiver campaign makeover
The September promotion ties a $1 goose keychain to donations supporting unpaid family caregivers across Canada.

Wawa, Ontario’s iconic 28-foot Goose statue is receiving a larger-than-life makeover during September as part of Petro-Canada’s Give A Honk campaign for family caregivers. The makeover is inspired by the company’s Give A Honk Goose Keychain.
The keychain is available at Petro-Canada locations across Canada for $1 plus tax with a 25-litre fuel purchase. Petro-Canada says it will donate $3 from every keychain purchased to the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation, which has donated more than $16 million through grants, partnerships and research since its 2020 launch.
The campaign highlights nearly eight million unpaid family caregivers in Canada who support loved ones with health conditions, disabilities, chronic illness or age-related needs. About one in four Canadians is a family caregiver and they spend an average of 19 hours a week providing care. The campaign uses the Canadian goose as a symbol of loyalty, protection and dedication to a flock.
