Woman sentenced for role in fatal Metro Vancouver home invasion
Rhoda Diabikulu received a seven-year manslaughter sentence after the 2023 killing of Burnaby resident Ryan Nagy; she is the fourth and final offender sentenced.

Homicide investigators say the fourth and final person to plead guilty to manslaughter in the killing of a 19-year-old man during a Metro Vancouver home invasion has been sentenced.
Rhoda Diabikulu was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in March, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. She received credit for 18 months already spent in pretrial custody, leaving five and a half years to serve, and was given a lifetime firearms prohibition.
Burnaby resident Ryan Nagy was killed June 29, 2023, when four people broke into his home on 17th Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. Nagy’s girlfriend, the second victim, was found injured in the home and survived.
Investigators said the group planned to steal firearms belonging to Nagy’s father that were kept in a safe in the basement. Ousmane Keita, Rais Usman and Ali Shamkhi were sentenced earlier this year for their roles. Keita received six years in June after pleading guilty to manslaughter in March. Shamkhi pleaded guilty in October 2025 to manslaughter and weapons offences and received a total sentence of 10 and a half years. Usman received six years for manslaughter in April.
