One man taken to hospital after overnight two-vehicle crash in Surrey
Surrey Police Service is investigating a two-vehicle collision at 138 Street and 64 Avenue that sent an adult man to hospital.

Surrey Police Service is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the intersection of 138 Street and 64 Avenue.
Police said the driver of a significantly damaged Audi sedan was receiving emergency treatment from BC Emergency Health Services paramedics when officers arrived. The adult man, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was taken to hospital with injuries that have not been disclosed and was expected to be released sometime Thursday, Sept. 17.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Toyota Prius that could not be driven because of the damage, was treated at the scene by Surrey Fire Service members for minor injuries. A passenger in the Prius left before police arrived and was later confirmed uninjured.
SPS’s Collision Investigation Unit has taken over the investigation. Police said alcohol is not believed to have been a contributing factor at this early stage. Parts of the intersection were closed for several hours overnight but have reopened.
