‘Murder for Two’ brings musical mystery comedy to Surrey in September
Royal Canadian Theatre Company opens its 2026-27 season with performances at Surrey Arts Centre from Sept. 25 to 27 before the show moves to New Westminster.

Royal Canadian Theatre Company will open its 2026-27 season with Murder for Two, a musical mystery comedy, at Surrey Arts Centre’s Studio Theatre from Sept. 25 to 27. The production will then run Oct. 2 to 4 at Anvil Theatre in New Westminster.
Kerri Norris directs Brad Bonnell as Marcus Moscowicz and Olesia Shewchuk as The Suspects in the 90-minute production, which combines comedy, mystery and live music. The two performers sing, dance and play piano.
Written by Kellen Blair and Joe Kinosian, the show invites audiences to follow clues and solve the mystery alongside 13 suspects, each with lies, secrets and motives. The story begins at a surprise birthday party for celebrated novelist Arthur Whitney, who is murdered after revealing secrets about everyone in attendance. Police officer Marcus Moscowicz investigates through confusion and unexpected turns.
The Surrey engagement has four showtimes. Single and group tickets are available at purchase.surrey.ca or by calling 604-501-5580.
The company’s remaining season includes Crystal Weltzin’s holiday panto Jack and the Beanstalk in December, followed in March by Patricia Johnson-Brooke’s The Reluctant Princess & Her Extraordinary Band of Pirates.
