Langley City to begin six road-improvement projects in August
Langley City’s 2026 paving program will begin in August at six locations, alongside a Langley Bypass project adding resurfacing, pathways and safety upgrades.

Langley City says its 2026 paving program will begin in August after council approved the work July 27. Funding was approved through the city’s December 2025 budget process.
The program includes work on 198 Street from 5438 198 Street to 56 Avenue; 208 Street from Newlands Drive to 48 Avenue; Fraser Highway from 207 Street to 208 Street; Brydon Crescent and 199A Street; and 204 Street and Logan Avenue. Logan Avenue pavement between 200 Street and the 203/204 Street intersection will be repaired, including work near the south end of the 204 Street overpass.
The city says it has invested in 18 road-improvement projects since 2023, with 12 completed between 2023 and 2025 and six scheduled for 2026.
The Langley Bypass Cycling and Roadway Improvements project will include resurfacing, multi-use pathways, intersection upgrades, lighting, landscaping and other safety work between 56 Avenue and 208 Street/Fraser Highway. The city says the project will improve connections for people walking, cycling and travelling through the area, including students going to Langley Secondary School.
