Vancouver Police seek 84-year-old missing man with dementia

Vancouver Police are asking the public to help locate Jose Aguirre, an 84-year-old man with dementia. Aguirre lives near Commercial Drive and East 16th Avenue and was last seen at his home at approximately 10 a.m. today.

Police say Aguirre likes to visit Clark Park, just north of his home, and also frequents Famous Foods on Kingsway near Dumfries Street. He is a Hispanic man with a slim build, short grey hair and a salt-and-pepper beard.

He was last seen wearing a red sweater, a shirt with red and grey squares, and grey pants. He may also be wearing brown slippers and eyeglasses. Vancouver Police ask anyone who locates Aguirre to stay with him and call 911 immediately.
