Surrey seeks public input on South Surrey bike park upgrades
The City of Surrey is planning a new feature to replace facilities temporarily removed during water infrastructure work at Sunnyside Reservoir. A public survey will run from Oct. 12 to Nov. 2, with design and construction expected to follow public feedback.

The City of Surrey is inviting ideas about upgrades to the South Surrey Bike Park. The city is planning a new bike feature. The park previously had a dirt jump and pump track that served riders from across the community.
Those features were temporarily removed to make room for Metro Vancouver’s construction of new water infrastructure at Sunnyside Reservoir. The reservoir is at South Surrey Athletic Park, which is also where the bike park is located. The city says it wants to hear what people would like to see so it can build a feature that reflects the community’s interests and needs.
The city is planning the replacement feature and seeking community input to help shape its design and features. A public engagement survey will be available from Monday, Oct. 12, to Nov. 2. The city will review feedback through the fall, with design and construction expected to follow.
According to the city’s website, hiring a contractor for the design and build is planned for spring or summer 2027. More information is available at surrey.ca.
