Surrey Now-Leader seeks White Rock and Surrey municipal candidates

The Surrey Now-Leader is asking people running for office in White Rock or Surrey to get in touch ahead of the Oct. 17 municipal elections. The newspaper says it is reaching out to everyone seeking Surrey’s mayoral, council and school board positions.

Candidates should already have received a reporter’s request to complete an election questionnaire, the paper says. Those who have not been contacted are asked to check their email and messages for missed communication or contact the newsroom at editor@surreynowleader.com.

The newspaper says it wants every candidate represented in its print and online election coverage so Surrey voters can make informed decisions before casting ballots. More municipal election information is available on the City of Surrey’s elections page at surrey.ca/elections, and further coverage is planned in upcoming print editions.
