The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a nationwide Class 1 recall for several Loblaw brand snack products because they contain milk that is not declared on the label. The agency says reactions associated with consuming the products have been reported.

The recall includes Frankie’s Organic Plant-Based Puffs Vegan Cheddar, 113 g, UPC 816929000089, with codes 2027 MA 16 and 2027 JL 03. It also includes PC Organics Plant-Based Cheddar baked corn puffs: 142 g, UPC 060383020767, codes 2027 FE 15, 2027 FE 16 and 2027 AL 03; and 336 g, UPC 060383020774, codes 2027 FE 16 and 2027 AL 03.

PC Organics Plant-Based Cheddar Jalapeno baked corn puffs, 142 g, UPC 060383020798, code 2027 FE 16, and PC Organics Plant-Based Cheddar baked corn crunchies, 142 g, UPC 060383096168, codes 2027 FE 15 and 2027 MR 26, are also affected.

The recall was triggered by Aliments Biologiques Frankie Inc. CFIA says it is checking that products are being removed from the marketplace and that its investigation could lead to further recalls. Consumers should not eat, serve, sell or distribute affected products; they should discard them or return them to where they were purchased.
