Spirit of Coquitlam Grant fall intake to open for local non-profits
Eligible Coquitlam non-profits can apply from 8 a.m. Sept. 1 to 11:59 p.m. Sept. 29 for funding for local programs, services and events.

Coquitlam’s fall intake for the Spirit of Coquitlam Grant Program opens at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and closes at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29. Local non-profits can apply for funding to deliver programs, services and events in the community; information is available at coquitlam.ca/SpiritGrant.
Since its creation in 2002, the program has awarded more than $10 million to 275 community groups. Grants are awarded twice a year for projects that take place in Coquitlam, benefit Coquitlam residents, align with City strategic priorities and remain sustainable beyond grant funding.
Applicants must be registered non-profits in good standing with the City. Funding depends on available funds and evaluation criteria, and priority may be given to organizations that have not previously received funding.
A free webinar led by the Grant Coordinator will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. to explain criteria, the application process and requirements. Organizations can consult program resources online or contact the coordinator at CommunityGrant@coquitlam.ca or 604-927-3571.
The City will review applications during the fall after the deadline and announce successful applicants in December 2026 following Council approval. The spring intake is set to open in February 2027. The program is funded through Casino Host Agreement revenue.
