Surrey Sikh gurdwara collecting supplies for B.C. wildfire communities

Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey is collecting donations for communities affected by wildfires in British Columbia. The gurdwara says medical-grade face masks are especially needed, along with clothing, baby supplies, non-perishable food, pet food, hygiene and medical supplies, power banks and charging cables.

The first shipment is to be delivered this weekend to people and communities directly affected by the fires. Donations can be dropped off at the gurdwara at 7050 120 St.

At the time of publication, 116 wildfires were burning in B.C. BC Wildfire Service had identified the Ainslie Creek, Brunswick Creek, Pear Lake and Bald Range fires as wildfires of note.
