Man in stable condition after suspected targeted shooting in Port Moody

A man is in hospital in stable condition after what police describe as a likely targeted shooting in Port Moody on Saturday afternoon.

Port Moody police were called to Barnet Highway and Union Street at about 2:40 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

No suspect was located at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing a silver sedan leaving the area, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information or dash-camera video related to the shooting to contact Port Moody police.
