Surrey man wins $100,000 Lotto Max prize on his way to dinner
Fang Zhou W. won $100,000 in the Oct. 6 Lotto Max MAXPLUS draw. He checked his ticket at a Chevron station at Fraser Highway and 156 Street in Surrey, where his wife initially thought the prize was $1,000.

Surrey’s latest lottery winner is Fang Zhou W., who won $100,000 in the Oct. 6 Lotto Max MAXPLUS draw. A BCLC news release said he picked up what he called “something sweeter than dessert” on his way to a friend’s house for dinner.
He checked the ticket at a Chevron station at Fraser Highway and 156 Street in Surrey. The woman checking it was very excited, he said. He wants to move into a larger home.
His wife and child were with him. His wife thought he had won only $1,000, so he showed her the ticket again in the car and she was surprised, he said.
BCLC now shares only lottery winners’ first names and last initials, apparently as a measure to protect their privacy.
