Bruno Mars to play record five shows at BC Place in Vancouver from Oct. 14 to 21
Bruno Mars is set to play five concerts at BC Place, a record for a musical artist at the stadium. The run surpasses Taylor Swift’s three shows there in 2024 and The Jacksons’ three in 1984. Concert-day transit announcements and venue details are also available.
American entertainer Bruno Mars begins a five-show run at BC Place in Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 14. It is a record number of shows at the stadium for a musical artist, surpassing Taylor Swift’s three concerts there in 2024 and The Jacksons’ three in 1984.
The Romantic Tour, produced by Live Nation, is Mars’s first full headline tour in nearly a decade. The Honolulu-born singer’s previous full tour was the 24K Magic World Tour in 2017. The other four BC Place dates this week are Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 21.
In a collaboration with Warner Music Canada, TransLink will periodically play a special announcement featuring Mars’s voice at Stadium–Chinatown Station on concert days from Oct. 14 to 21. The article says SkyTrain cars will be packed starting in Surrey, and commuters may hear the “Uptown Funk” singer at the end of their trip. TransLink says advertising revenue will “help support transit service in Metro Vancouver.”
Concert information is posted at https://www.bcplace.com/?event=bruno-mars. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. The venue’s website says BC Place is an open-air stadium whether its roof is open or closed, and advises concertgoers to dress for the outdoor temperature.
