Langley man charged after alleged backyard entry and apartment break-in
A 55-year-old man remains in custody after Langley RCMP laid charges linked to two separate incidents in the past week.

A 55-year-old man has been charged after two separate incidents in Langley, police say.
Langley RCMP first responded Aug. 12 after a Willoughby resident found an unknown man in their backyard. Officers located a suspect nearby, who was charged with trespassing at night and later released following a court appearance.
Police were called again Aug. 17 over a break-and-enter at an apartment complex near 197 Street and 64 Avenue. Residents reported that an unknown man entered their apartment and fled before officers arrived.
Investigators later found a man matching the description, who allegedly ran from police. Officers, assisted by the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, arrested him without incident. He has been charged with break and enter and obstruction of a peace officer, and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
