Air Canada introduces basic fares in premium cabins
Air Canada has launched lower-priced Basic fares in Premium Economy and Business Class on select international routes, with fewer flexible and lounge benefits.

Air Canada has introduced Premium Economy Basic and Business Class Basic fares, offering lower-cost options for travellers booking premium cabins on select routes.
Both fares include a complimentary checked bag, carry-on allowance, priority boarding, priority baggage handling and meals. They are non-refundable, changes carry a fee and advance seat selection costs extra.
Premium Economy Basic passengers do not receive lounge access. Business Class Basic travellers can use Maple Leaf Lounges but not Air Canada Signature Suites.
The fares are available on select routes to the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and South America, as well as transatlantic joint-venture markets, excluding Iran, Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Premium Economy Basic fares use the PB and BO suffixes; Business Class Basic fares use EB and BZ. Air Canada says eligible Aeroplan elite members, Star Alliance status holders and qualifying Aeroplan premium-card holders keep their usual benefits.
