Two charged in 2025 fatal Langley taxi shooting
Two Lower Mainland men are jointly charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the 2025 shooting death of Taran Pandher inside a taxi in Langley.

Two men have been charged in connection with the 2025 fatal shooting of 24-year-old Taran Pandher, who was shot while riding in a taxi in Langley.
IHIT said Jared Douglas Polischuk, 35, and Luis Manuel Baez, 29, were arrested Aug. 14 without incident at separate Lower Mainland locations. They are jointly charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
Langley RCMP responded at about 10:28 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2025, to a shooting near 200 Street and 53 Avenue in Langley City. Officers attempted lifesaving measures, but Pandher died at the scene. No one else was injured.
About 30 minutes later, police received a report of a vehicle fire in Surrey’s 13250-block of 64A Avenue. Investigators believe that vehicle was connected to the shooting, which police previously described as targeted and linked to gang conflict.
IHIT Sgt. Freda Fong said investigators are continuing to pursue others believed to have been involved. She said information about motive, possible additional accused and any links to other gang incidents would be addressed through the court process.
