Filipino Fest returns to Museum of Surrey Sept. 12
The free, family-friendly Filipino Fest will bring food vendors, music, dance, cultural displays and children’s activities to the Museum of Surrey.
Filipino Fest will return to the Museum of Surrey on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event will feature Filipino cultural performances, traditional music and dance, food, artisan vendors, textile displays, photo opportunities and activities for children.
Food vendors are to include Cake It Easy, Nanay Kitchen, Dale’s Food Products, Kasalo and Timplado Filipino Street Food Truck. Performers listed for the event include Glisha, The Kuyas, Raffy Swap One, Red Filos, Mabuhay Arnis and Grupo Ilocano Association of BC.
Museum manager Lynn Saffery said the museum is pleased to work with the Filipino community to share traditions through performances, food, music and activities. The Museum of Surrey is at 17710 56A Ave. More information is available at surrey.ca/museum.
