Surrey police seek help identifying Dodge linked to life-altering assault two years ago
Surrey Police Service has released photos of a possible suspect vehicle as it renews its appeal for information about an aggravated assault near 120 Street and 70 Avenue on Sept. 8, 2024. One victim suffered severe head and brain trauma and was placed on life support.

Surrey Police Service has released photos of a possible suspect vehicle in an aggravated assault that left someone with life-altering injuries more than two years ago. Investigators want to identify a Dodge Durango seen near a park at 120 Street and 70 Avenue on Sept. 8, 2024, at about 12:38 a.m. Surrey RCMP officers located two men who had been assaulted at that time.
Both victims, who were 18 and 22 at the time, were taken to hospital, police say. Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton, media relations with Surrey Police Service, said the younger victim was released after treatment for minor injuries. The older man was placed on life support because of severe brain and head trauma, and his medical outcome was uncertain.
A public appeal in 2024 produced some information and evidence. SPS detectives are asking for help again to advance the investigation and provide answers to the victim and his family. Police say they hope people will come forward just after the incident’s second anniversary, understanding the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
Anyone who was in the area of 120 Street and 70 Avenue between midnight and 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, and has not spoken to police is asked to call SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-7368 (SP) or 2024-134124 (SU).
