Richmond woman wins $100,000 lottery prize on way to barbershop
A Richmond resident won $100,000 after buying lottery tickets while taking her son for a haircut at Lansdowne Centre. Wing S. said the win was unexpected and may help fund a spring break trip with her children.

A stop at a lottery booth while taking her son for a haircut at Lansdowne Centre brought a $100,000 win for Richmond resident Wing S. She said she could hardly believe what she saw after scanning her ticket. She checked it again on a self-scanner, then asked the lottery retailer to confirm the win.
Wing S. bought a Max Plus ticket and a Lotto Max ticket for the Friday, Oct. 2 draw. She said the win was not expected at all. Max Plus is an add-on draw feature for Lotto Max that offers multiple $100,000 cash prizes, with the number of prizes increasing according to the jackpot size. Asked how it felt to win, Wing S. said the prize still feels unexpected. She added that it could make room for something special, including a spring break holiday for her children.
