Advance voting ends in Surrey ahead of Oct. 17 municipal election day

Advance voting for Surrey’s 2026 municipal election has concluded. A total of 52,600 ballots were cast on Oct. 7, 10, 14 and 15, representing 15 per cent of the city’s 352,148 registered electors.

In 2022, 35,701 ballots were cast during advance voting, with 339,640 registered electors. The city says advance-voting participation increased by 47 per cent this year. It expanded the number of advance voting locations from six in 2022 to 10 in 2026 to provide more capacity and convenience for voters.

General Voting Day is Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can check estimated wait times at voting locations on an interactive map before heading to the polls.
