Vancouver Police recover more than $10,000 in property after traffic stop
Vancouver Police say officers recovered jewellery and luxury items worth more than $10,000 after stopping a rental SUV Saturday night. The property is believed to have been stolen earlier that day during a real estate open house.

Vancouver Police say officers recovered jewellery and luxury items worth more than $10,000 after a traffic stop Saturday night. At about 9:25 p.m., officers saw a rental Chevrolet SUV leave a residence known to police and stopped it.
A search of the SUV turned up evidence linked to an unreported theft of jewellery and luxury items during an open house earlier that day. Police also found evidence believed to be connected to other fraud and break-and-enter investigations.
The recovered property and seized evidence are being examined by investigators, said Sgt. Adam Donaldson of the Vancouver Police Department. Investigators are working to identify additional victims and determine whether the suspects are linked to other ongoing investigations.
The two men were released pending further investigation. Charges have not been approved. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a similar crime, or has information that could assist investigators, is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department.
