Vancouver to see rain Saturday before warmer August weather
Rain and wind are forecast for Aug. 1 in Vancouver, followed by drier conditions and temperatures nearing 30 C inland during the first week of August.

Vancouver is expected to see periods of rain and wind Saturday, Aug. 1, before drier and warmer weather returns for the start of August.
Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts a high of 20 C on Saturday and 21 C on Sunday. Meteorologist Terri Lang said a Pacific low-pressure system and associated cold front will bring the showers, followed by warmer conditions inland away from the water.
By the shortened work week, highs are forecast to reach 22 C and 23 C in Vancouver and 26 C to 28 C inland by Wednesday, Aug. 5. Overnight lows are expected to remain around 14 C to 15 C.
Lang said the month is expected to be warmer than average across the Lower Mainland and much of B.C. Vancouver’s August climate normal is a daily average temperature of 18.2 C and 36.1 millimetres of precipitation.
